Timberline hires Brandon Buck to take over as the new head baseball coach.

Brandon Buck brings over two decades of coaching, teaching, and leadership experience to his new role as Head Baseball Coach at Timberline High School. A former Purdue University catcher and three-time Academic All-Big Ten honoree, Brandon has dedicated his career to developing athletes both on and off the field.

From 2006 to 2016, Brandon served as the Head Varsity Baseball Coach at Mountain Pointe High School in Phoenix, Arizona, where he built one of the premier programs in the nation. His teams captured the 2011 5A Division I State Championship, earned a #1 national ranking from MaxPreps, and set the Arizona state record for home runs in a single season. Over his tenure, he compiled a 222–128 record, produced 11 High School All-Americans, more than 60 college signees, 22 MLB draft picks, and four future Major League players. He was honored as Region and State Coach of the Year multiple times and was selected by USA Baseball to compete in the national tournament in Cary, North Carolina.

In addition to his success on the diamond, Brandon distinguished himself as an educator. During his 15 years as an AP U.S. History teacher, he served as Department Chair and earned multiple awards, including Tempe Diablos Teacher of the Year, Tempe Union District Teacher of Excellence, and recognition as a semi-finalist for Arizona Teacher of the Year.

After moving to Boise in 2016 with his wife, Kerry, Brandon reconnected with grassroots baseball, coaching Little League, travel ball, and junior high teams. He has recently led East Boise Little League All-Star teams to regional play, guided the Boise Gems 13U squad to national competition in Omaha, and co-head coached Timberline Junior High to an undefeated conference championship season.

Beyond the field, Brandon is the CEO and Founder of Infinite Strengths, a leadership development company serving Fortune 500 organizations, universities, and athletic programs nationwide. He has worked with programs including Boise State Football, Boise State Soccer, Idaho State Football, the University of Missouri, Purdue Baseball, and Auburn Football as a leadership and mental performance coach. He is also the creator of The Standard Leadership Summit and author of Distracted by Success.

At his core, Brandon is a coach, mentor, and man of faith who believes in shaping athletes into leaders—on the field, in the classroom, and in life. He and Kerry are raising their three children, Parker, Karsyn, and McCade, and remain deeply invested in their Boise community.
