Tough loss on the turf. Monday pitted Rocky and Lady Wolves match up. Rocky took the lead in the first ten minutes. Lady Wolves responded with a goal three minutes later by Ava Ranson on a tailing away curl shot from the eighteen. Timberline took the lead when a sliding pass by Maddie Beam found Brooke Christie in the box who finished on the opposite side for a goal. Rocky fought back to take the lead on set piece and disputed penalty. Timberline tied the game 3-3 with a textbook free kick by Haley Apple (over the wall and directly goalie opposite side). Unfortunately, Timberline surrendered a goal in the last fifteen seconds from scrum and the game concluded in a 4-3 loss. This sets up intriguing future match ups during league and tournament play.
