Biography:
Ty Axtman was born in Boise Idaho, and shortly after moved to Elma Washington. Ty competed in a variety of sports while growing up, and in high school discovered his ability to run.
Axtman was Elma high schools cross country captain 3 years, and led his high school team to three top five finishes. Ty was a three time qualifier in the Washington vs. Oregon Nike Border clash. On the track Ty won two state titles in the 800 at 1:55.46 and in the 1600 with a time of 4:17.32.
After high school Ty attended Spokane Community College where he received three junior college All American honors in Cross Country and Track.
After completion of his Associates Ty was recruited and transferred to Boise State University. During Ty’s time at Boise State he lead his track team to three WAC championships, including the 2006 WAC Outstanding Performer and High Point awards on the track. Ty also was a five time WAC champion in a wide range of distances from the 1500 to the 10,000 meters.
Biography:
Paige was an outstanding track and field athlete in both high school and college. She attended Boise State University on a full-ride scholarship to compete for the Women's Track and Field team. At Boise State, she was a WAC conference champion in the 400m dash, as well as the anchor for the school-record holding and 2-time conference champion & NCAA Regional Qualifier 4x400 meter relay
team. She was also a standout in the 200 meter and 4x100 meter relay. After college, Paige coached track and field at the middle school & high school level at North Star Charter School, and did private one-on-one coaching with athletes around the Treasure Valley. Paige became involved with Timberline Track and Field in 2016, and Cross Country at Timberline in 2018. Her background in elementary and secondary education, and Educational Leadership helps her foster her athletes to be well-rounded young adults, as well as great athletes. She also brings a knowledgeable background in nutrition and fitness to share with the athletes. Outside of coaching, Paige is lead teacher and teacher trainer at Pure Barre Boise and Pure Barre Eagle. Paige is excited to be a part of the Timberline High School athletic program, and is eager to start creating a tradition of excellence as part of the track and field team. Paige is married to former Boise State track member Matt, and enjoys running and biking around Boise with her dog, Scout.
