Varsity District Tournament Bracket

They Varsity Boys Soccer team enter the district tournament as the #4 seed and will face Borah at 2:00 on Saturday, October 8th at Timberline High School's field #2.

Saturday, October 8th:

?The boys varsity soccer team gave up two early goals to Borah at the District tournament.  But they battled back to tie the game at 2 just before the end of the first half.  In the second half, the Wolves added three more goals to take the victory, 5-2.  They advance to the semifinals to face Boise High School at 2:45 on Monday, October 10th at Timberline.

Monday, October 10th:

Timberline lost a close one to Boise High School in the semifinals, 1-2.  The boys gave up an early goal in the 2' minute and then another in the 20', but then clamped down on the Braves.  Down 0-2 at halftime, the Wolves came out fired up and applied major pressure on the Braves.  Rowan Pierson provided the only goal for the Wolves in the 55'.  A number of late shots sailed wide and high as Timberline couldn't find the back of the net to tie the game.  The boys will play again on Tuesday at 5:00 at Timberline against Rocky Mountain.

Tuesday, October 11th:

?The boys fell short in the 3rd place game tonight, losing to Rocky Mountain 3-1.  They will be back out on the pitch on Wednesday at 5:00 to face Borah again in an elimination game.  Winner takes 5th in the district and travels to Payette on Saturday to play against the #2 team from the North.  Winner of that game will advance to the State Tournament (to be held in CDA beginning October 20th) as the 3E seed on the State Tournament Bracket.

Wednesday, October 12th:

Timberline defeated Borah 3-2 in the 5th place game.  Timberline struck first with a goal by Skyler Munroe, but Borah scored two consecutive goals to take a 2-1 lead into halftime.  But Timberline fought back with 2 goals by Rowan Pierson in the 52' and again in the 72' to secure the victory.

Timberline will play again on Saturday, October 15th in the State Play-In game at 3:00 at Payette High School against Lake City High School.  Winner will advance to the State Tournament in CDA.  Good Luck Boys.

Boys JV Soccer District Tournament

Hosted by Rocky Mountain, October 6-8

The JV Boys Soccer team finished as the #6 seed and will face the 3rd seeded Eagle Mustangs on Thursday at 1:30 at Rocky Mountain High School.

Thursday, October 6th:

The JV boys lost in the first round of the District Tournament to Eagle on Thursday.  They gave up 4 goals in the first half and could never recover, pushing the score to 2-4 and having a number of opportunities, but the slow start proved too difficult to overcome.
