Travis Noble

Head Coach

Boys Varsity Basketball

Coach Noble will be entering his 6th season as the Head Coach of the Wolves and has been in coaching for 14 years.  His teams have been competitive each year with the focus remaining on the defensive end.  Often times the Wolves are one of the top defensive teams in the SIC.  In the 19-20 season his team made a run to the state tournament. In the 2021-22 season the Wolves finished 2nd in DPPG in the SIC and in 2022-23 season the Wolves finished first in DPPG only allowing 46.5 PPG.  They have been Academic State Champions 3 out of the 6 years Coach Noble has been here.  Last season the Wolves also went undefeated at home (8-0).

Coach Noble was an outstanding high school basketball player in the State of Idaho who went on to play college basketball at Walla Walla Community College.  As a player at WWCC he was a 1st team Eastern Region Selection and led his team to an East Region Title.  After his 2 years at WWCC  he transferred to Montana State University-Northern (NAIA).  As a player at MSU-N he was a two-time All-Conference selection, Academic All-Conference selection, Conference Champion in 2008, Champion-of-Character Award winner, MSUN Excellence Award winner, and the MSUN Athlete of the Year in 2009.

Coach Noble served as Assistant Coach at both colleges (3 years at MSU-N, 1 year at WWCC).  As an assistant at Northern they won 2 conference championships (2011, 2012) and made trips to the NAIA National Tournament in both those years.  While at WWCC as an assistant they were named Eastern Region Champs with a 23-8 record and made a run to the Elite 8 in the NWAC Tournament.

He began his high school varsity head coaching career at Oakley High School where he helped the boys basketball team win back-to-back District Championships, obtained a record of 83-36, had a 3rd place finish at state (2016), and was named the 2015 Coach of the Year.
