Boys Varsity Soccer vs. Skyview High School

Wolves Win: 2 - 1
Both Teams started out tentatively searching to find an opening but not wanting to over commit. Skyview got the break-through in the first half with a fine shot on goal from an attack down the left wing. Skyview possessed well and Timberline hunkered in choosing to build from the back. In the 2nd half possession leveled and Senior Minjun Kwak, leveled with a scorching left foot shot into the side netting. Both teams then played for the win. Both had good scoring opportunities stopped by some excellent keeping. In regular time THS keeper Gideon Coprivnicar made 16 saves, but more were to come after 20mins of OT left the game at 1-1 and to be decided by PK’s. Mason Slaughter, CJ Brewster, Evan Schulte and Dylan Bowes all scored from the spot for Timberline, but Man of the Match - Gideon - saved 2 PK’s to send Timberline through with a 4-2 PK victory. Both teams deserve high praise for an excellent sporting game. THS win 4-2 PK’s.

Wolves Lose: 2 - 2
In an exhilarating game of competitive soccer, Timberline and Borah shared the points with 2-2 draw. Timberline went in the lead courtesy of a cool finish by Cambel Everitt, after a goal mouth scramble. Borah brought the game back to 1-1 just before the half with a long range shot. In the 2nd half Timberline piled on the pressure and were rewarded with 2 PK’s. Mason Slaughter finished the second to take Wolves back into the lead. Mason was taken down on a breakaway where Borah we’re lucky not to get a red card before Borah drew the game 2-2. The last few minutes saw both teams play intense attacking soccer as each tried to steal the win. Both keepers can be credited with some excellent saves throughout the game to keep both teams level. Final score 2-2.

Wolves Lose: 2 - 3
Boise HS went into the lead within 30 secs from a corner. Timberline then played one of their best games of the season to take a 2-1 lead by half time. Justin Smith scored both goals. One an assist by Kai Hatten, another Justin intercepted a defensive pass and scored a cool finish to the side netting. Again Boise scored early in the half to level the game 2-2, then took the lead several minutes later. This set up an excellent game of soccer for the final 20 mins with both teams playing open, attractive soccer. Gideon Coprivnicar again put in an excellent keeper display making 11 saves. 3-2 Boise vs Timberline in a very entertaining game of soccer.

Wolves Lose: 0 - 1
Timberline played Rocky at home and lost 0-1. Rocky dominated possession in the first half but a disciplined Timberline defense held Rocky to a single goal at the half. Timberline’s possession grew throughout the second half and a late push for an equalizer saw them come close on occasions but the Rocky keeper kept them in the game. 1-0 Rocky-Timberline.

Wolves Win: 4 - 1
Timberline gained an impressive away win at Mountain View to move 2nd in the table. A high energy soccer game saw THS Keeper, Gideon Coprivnicar make 12 confident saves and assist a Mason Slaughter goal from a drop kick. Here Mason beat Mtn Views offside trap and scored on the breakaway. Mason then scored his third consecutive hat-trick... collectively known as “A slaughter of hat-tricks”. Mason’s 2nd goal was a professional finish from a driven CJ Brewster cross. The third goal was met with a full team celebration after a penetrating run by def-mid Dylan Bowes found Mason in the box, where he calmly finished for an impressive string of 9 goals in 3 games. CJ added to the score with a fast reaction shot from a Dylan Bowes cross. THS 4 - Mtn.View 1.

Wolves Win: 4 - 0
The Timberline Wolves Soccer team secured a 4-0 win over Meridian HS. Senior Nate Bartlet opened the scoring, then Senior Mason Slaughter grabbed his second consecutive Hat-Trick. Dylan Bowes and Mason assisted. Meridian worked hard to pull the game back but the Timberline boys controlled the game to keep a clean sheet with 2 saves each from Gideon Coprivnicar and Ben Anderson.

Wolves Win: 4 - 3
Timberline defeated Eagle at Eagle
Seniors CJ Brewster (one goal) and Mason Slaughter (three goals, one assist) led in scoring for Timberline, and Junior Goalkeeper Gideon Coprivnicar racked up 4 saves in the first half.
Timberline was up 2-0 going into the half.
In the second half, Eagle scored their first goal on a deflection after a PK from a handball in the box and then drew within one point with just 38 seconds remaining in the game.
Timberline was able to get the “W” tonight with a final score of 4-3

Wolves Lose: 1 - 2
Timberline played Centennial at Timberline tonight.
Centennial scored mid-way through the first half on a penalty kick and then again with 7 seconds left in the first half to go up 2-0 at the half.
Centennial goalkeeper saved a banger from Mason Slaughter about 10 minutes into the second half.
Despite constant pressure from Timberline in the second half, Centennial held Timberline at bay until Timberline senior Dylan Bowes finally scored with an assist from Mason Slaughter with 45 seconds left in the game.

Wolves Win: 2 - 0
Timberline beat Capital 2-0 at Capital.
Goals:
junior, Justin Smith with an assist from senior, Mason Slaughter
freshman, Jake Anderson scored on a header assisted by senior, CJ Brewster with 4:42 left in the 1st half
Capital held Timberline scoreless in the second half.
Goalkeepers Junior, Gideon Coprivnicar and Freshman, Ben Anderson had 7 saves total (4 & 3 respectively)

Wolves Lose: 0 - 2
Timberline Boys visited Rocky’s turf for their second game of the season. Rocky scored two goals from set pieces; a free kick in the first half and a PK at the start of the second half. The Wolves defense, and an excellent display by keeper Gideon, stopped Rocky from scoring in open play. The THS boys grew in confidence as the game continued and pushed for a late goal, but ran out of time. FT 0-2.

Wolves Lose: 1 - 1
Against the run of play, Capital took an early lead on a breakaway. Timberline then controlled long sections of the 1st half and were rewarded with a goal from CJ Brewster, assisted by Nate Bartlet. The second half saw Capital attacking more but they could not break down a resolute Timberline defense. 1:1 Fulltime.
